The Administration for Community Living (ACL) announced the launch of the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Technical Assistance and Resource Center. The Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) will administer the new center along with its partners from the National Association of State Head Injury Administrators (NASHIA) and a group of subject matter experts, including people with lived experience of TBI.

The National Core Indicators – Aging and Disabilities™ (NCI-AD™) project just released results from its NCI-AD Adult Consumer Survey, a consumer quality of life instrument that provides important insights to the aging and physical disabilities field. During the 2017-18 NCI-AD data collection cycle, a total of 17,336 Adult Consumer Surveys were conducted across 16 states.

Julie Bershadsky, PhD, the director of HSRI's Aging and Disabilities research team, has been appointed to the National Quality Forum’s Measure Sets and Measurement Systems Technical Expert Panel. Within the Panel, she’s been assigned to the Measurement Systems Subgroup. Through the use of a multistakeholder process, NQF aims to promote alignment, reduce unintended burden, and accelerate value-based purchasing adoption in the performance measurement field.
