North Carolina Olmstead Plan
In 2020, HSRI assisted its longtime partner the Technical Assistance Collaborative with a project with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. TAC and HSRI assessed the state’s system of services and supports for people disabilities and made recommendations for the state’s plan to provide care in the most integrated settings as required under the Supreme Court’s landmark Olmstead decision. Traumatic Brain Injury Technical Assistance and Resource Center
The Traumatic Brain Injury Technical Assistance and Resource Center (TBI TARC) is a national center funded by the Administration for Community Living. HSRI is serving as the Center’s administrator along with NASHIA, helping states promote access to integrated, coordinated services and supports for people who have sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI), their families, and their caregivers. National Center on Advancing Person-Centered Practices and Systems
The National Center on Advancing Person-Centered Practices and Systems (NCAPPS) is a national technical assistance center funded by the Administration for Community Living and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. HSRI is serving as the Center’s administrator, coordinating and providing assistance to help states, tribes, and territories implement person-centered practices. Read More
Minnesota Waiver Reimagine
Along with our project partners, we’re working with the Disability Services Division (DSD) of Minnesota’s Department of Human Services to make its system more person-centered, improving system structures to give people more choice and control over the services they receive. Read More
Evaluation of the Louisiana Permanent Supportive Housing Initiative
In the aftermath of hurricanes Katrina and Rita, Louisiana launched an innovative cross-disability Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) initiative that was coordinated at the state level and designed to maximize community integration. Working with our partner the Technical Assistance Collaborative, we evaluated the effectiveness of the initiative and the sustainability of the model. Read More
