Kevin Fernandez is a senior data engineer and data platform lead whose work is driven by a passion for using data and technology to help organizations make better-informed decisions and deliver reliable, data-driven services. With more than 10 years of experience in data engineering and software development, Kevin specializes in designing secure, scalable, and high-performance data platforms that transform complex information into accessible, analytics-ready data.
Kevin is particularly skilled at collaborating with technical teams, analysts, architects, business partners, and organizational leaders to understand data needs and develop solutions that improve data accessibility, reliability, governance, and reporting. He has extensive experience designing and modernizing enterprise data platforms, building large-scale ETL and ELT pipelines, and developing cloud-based lakehouse and data warehouse architectures.
Prior to joining HSRI, Kevin was a senior data engineer at Infosys, where he led the design and implementation of modern Azure Lakehouse platforms using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage. Before that, Kevin worked as a data engineer at Capgemini, where he designed and supported large-scale AWS batch and streaming data pipelines using Spark, Kafka, Kinesis, and AWS Glue.
His work focuses on improving the availability and quality of data used for analytics, reporting, and internal applications.
