Ioana Crisan
Director of Health Care Reporting - Population Health
Ioana is the Director of Health Care Reporting for HSRI’s Population Health team, where she leads analytic strategy and oversees the design, execution, and communication of high‑impact reporting products to support changes in health care and social service systems at the state and national levels. A senior data scientist with deep expertise in health care administrative datasets and national surveys, she is highly proficient in database programming, statistical analysis, and business intelligence development. She specializes in translating rigorous analysis into accessible, actionable information for policymakers, program leaders, and community partners.
Before stepping into her current role, Ioana held positions at Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management, where she contributed to quantitative research on racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic inequities in child and family well‑being. She also previously served as an analyst at HSRI on a multi‑year initiative supporting national and state substance use prevention programs.
A native Romanian speaker, Ioana also has working knowledge of French and German. Outside the office, she enjoys hiking and exploring new places near and far.
