Using Administrative Data to Identify Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities: An Exploration in Maine
Maine
This publication explores how people with intellectual and developmental disabilities continue to experience significant, preventable health disparities, in part because they are difficult to consistently identify in national surveys and administrative data. To address these gaps, HSRI and the Maine Health Data Organization conducted a feasibility study linking Maine health care databases to assess whether individuals with IDD can be reliably identified and tracked to improve health surveillance, access, and outcomes.
