HSRI's Population Health Team Names New Directors

HSRI is excited to announce that three staff members are being promoted to director roles on the organization’s Population Health Team: Kate Mullins as the director of project and product management, Kevin Rogers as the director of technical services, and Ioana Crisan as the director of healthcare reporting. The Population Health Team has grown since its inception in 2013, and this important change will improve the Team’s ability to continue to provide high-quality services to clients and to further innovate and expand its product offerings to meet new and changing standards. HSRI’s Population Health Team continues to build and maintain modern solutions for data systems to collect, analyze, and report health care data to improve the quality of health information available for research, policy, and practice – with the overarching goal of advancing equitable solutions. 

Kate Mullins headshotKate Mullins has worked at HSRI for 13 years and was a founding member of the Population Health Team in 2013.  She is also a member of HSRI’s senior leadership team. A certified Project Management Professional, Kate creates and manages systems for tracking projects and associated deliverables, monitors performance, and works closely with other directors, team members, clients, product users, and stakeholders to meet project goals. She manages projects across the Population Health Team’s data warehouse implementations, and she serves as a key client contact and product lead for HSRI’s data submission portals, overseeing a help desk that supports hundreds of users.

Kevin Rogers headshotKevin Rogers has been with HSRI for 14 years and was also a founding member of the Population Health Team. Kevin directs the technical services for the Team. In this role, he coordinates technical resources and develops standards, policies, and procedures to ensure that solutions meet business needs in a timely, cost-effective, and secure manner. Kevin leads the development of secure, scalable applications that enable health care organizations to produce reliable and timely information for research and quality improvement purposes. He also serves as an ETL architect on HSRI’s all-payer claims database projects.

Ioana Crisan headshotIoana Crisan first joined HSRI 15 years ago and became part of the Population Health Team in 2016. Ioana leads the Team’s healthcare reporting activities, advancing the development of its reporting and analytic portfolio. She uses her expertise in hospital encounter and healthcare insurance claims and code sets, national surveys, and other administrative data to report on policy-relevant measures and metrics. Ioana also develops business intelligence dashboards to understand community health, and uses her methodological expertise to expand the Team’s analytic capabilities in healthcare reporting.
