CEBC Rates Ohio's Kinship Supports Intervention a 'Promising Practice'

As part of HSRI's evaluation of Ohio's IV-E waiver, HSRI's Child, Youth and Family team helped the State develop a Kinship Supports intervention—a model designed to increase support for kinship caregivers and improve outcomes for child welfare-involved families. HSRI's Cailin Wheeler recently helped the State submit an application to the California Evidence-Based Clearinghouse (CEBC) describing the program and the study findings, and the CEBC officially rated it as a “Promising Practice.” Cailin also helped the State to submit an application to the federal Prevention Services Clearinghouse, the gateway to funding under a recently passed federal child welfare law.
