Ben Cichocki is a research associate with the behavioral health team at HSRI. He has been involved in multiple national evaluations as well as smaller projects concerning the evaluation of mental health programs and systems. Ben has played an integral role in the evaluations of the Mental Health Transformation State Incentive Grant, Mental Health Transformation Grant, and SAMHSA’s Homeless Programs, among others. In addition, he is currently a member of the evaluation team for the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-funded National Demonstration and Evaluation of Self-Direction in Behavioral Health and the evaluation technical assistance team for the Project LAUNCH national evaluation. He has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) since 2003, and is also a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP). Prior to joining HSRI, Ben worked as a direct service provider for Maine Medical Center, Boston University’s Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation, and HealthReach Network. He earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctorate (Sc.D.) degrees from Boston University, where he studied rehabilitation sciences and rehabilitation counseling while specializing in psychiatric rehabilitation.
