The Self-Advocacy Alliance for Change
(2009-2012)Under contract to the Illinois Planning Council on Developmental Disabilities, HSRI is partnering with self-advocates to develop a consensus based plan that will identify a vision for self-advocacy and a framework for action reflective of issues important to people with developmental disabilities throughout Illinois.

Arkansas Youth United
(2007-2010)The Center's primary goal is to help young people complete their high school education, pursue post high school education or job training, seek and maintain employment and build personal assets or otherwise improve their lives.

Juntos Podemos Family Cooperative
(2005)HSRI received funding from The Kaiser Permanente Community Fund and Northwest Health Foundation to establish and operate the Juntos Podemos Family Cooperative. This Cooperative creates opportunities for families who have a child with disabilities to own their first home, start a new business, return to school, or meet the specialized/adaptive needs of their child.

Oregon SPD Quality Assurance for HCBS
(2004-2006)HSRI, working with OTAC, ORA and LOKI innovations, has contracted with the Oregon DHS to create common quality assurance and quality improvement strategies for in-home services across populations of seniors, people with disabilities and people with developmental disabilities. The major tasks of this project include gaining a comprehensive understanding of existing QA system/tools in Oregon and nationally, recommending tools/processes that will ensure health and safety for all three populations, and providing recommendations for integrating the QA management information systems; these activities will all be completed with input from a stakeholder group representing all three populations.

Evaluation Center@HSRI
(1994-2007)The Evaluation Center@HSRI (TEC) was a program funded by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS) to provide technical assistance related to the evaluation of adult mental health systems change. The mission of TEC was to provide evaluation services and/or technical assistance to mental health system stakeholders including, but not limited to states, providers, consumers, and evaluators for improving the planning, implementation, and operation of adult mental health services.
