A Strategic Path Forward: Responding to the Needs of People with Developmental Disabilities in Florida
(2008-2009)This initiative was a collaborative effort with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, families and individuals with developmental disabilities, developmental disabilities organizations and other stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for a system of supports so that individuals with developmental disabilities can live self-directed lives in the community.

A Blueprint for System Redesign in Illinois
(2006-2007)The Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities (ICDD) contracted with HSRI to develop a Blueprint for System Redesign in Illinois to reduce the state's over reliance on large congregate care facilities and increase quality community supports for people with developmental disabilities. The Blueprint will lay out concrete, specific system redesign action steps, their rationale, and how their implementation should be sequenced over a seven-year period.

Assessment of the Well-Being of Former Belchertown Residents
(1992)This study involved an assessment of the progress and status of individuals with developmental disabilities who left Belchertown State School in Massachusetts to reside in the community and of individuals still residing at the institution.
