HSRI's Julie Bershadsky Appointed to NQF Technical Expert Panel

Julie Bershadsky, PhD, the director of HSRI's Aging and Disabilities research team, has been appointed to the National Quality Forum’s Measure Sets and Measurement Systems Technical Expert Panel. Within the Panel, she’s been assigned to the Measurement Systems Subgroup. Through the use of a multistakeholder process, NQF aims to promote alignment, reduce unintended burden, and accelerate value-based purchasing adoption in the performance measurement field. 

This panel is expected to accomplish the following:

• Develop standardized definitions for measure sets and measurement systems
• Define best practices and principles for measure sets and measurement systems
• Discuss data issues for measure sets and measurement systems
• Identify unintended consequences of measure sets and measurement systems
