Susan Havercamp is a psychologist and researcher at Developmental Disabilities Consulting and Psychological Services (DDcaps) and also at the Center for Inclusive Communities, UCEDD, at the University of South Florida. She received her doctorate from The Ohio State University in 1998 where she was the first student admitted to a new doctorate program that combined training in developmental disabilities and clinical psychology at the OSU Nisonger Center, UCEDD.
Dr. Havercamp's research and clinical work has focused on physical and mental health issues in people with developmental disabilities. She served on the faculty of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in the Division for Prevention and Treatment of Developmental Disorders and also at the Center for Development and Learning, a Center for Excellence on Developmental Disabilities Research, Education, and Service at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her current work focuses on evaluating health promotion programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities.
