Aleena Khan

Research Assistant

Aleena is a research assistant whose work is driven by a passion for evidence-informed policy-making and preventive healthcare. She is particularly invested in working with medical claims and eligibility data to inform health quality improvement. She is skilled in performing quality checks to ensure the highest quality data is available for reporting. Aleena also has experience collaborating with state agency staff to develop standard and custom reports for clients.

Prior to joining HSRI, Aleena was an intern at the Massachusetts State House where she worked under the vice-chair of the Public Health Committee. She conducted research for policy proposals, specifically about the substance abuse crisis in Massachusetts.

When not at work, Aleena enjoys trying new foods and spending time with family and friends. She is also fond of learning languages.
