Evaluation of Ohio's Differential Response Research and Demonstration Project
(2010-2013)With funding from the U.S. Children's Bureau, HSRI is conducting a three-year evaluation of the Differential Response (DR) Initiative in Ohio, a best-practices approach to serving families reported for child abuse or neglect. DR provides an alternative to the traditional child welfare investigative approach, rather offering families a more critical role in assuring the safety and well-being of their children.

Oregon Independent Living
(2010-2011)The Oregon Department of Human Services has contracted with HSRI, first in 2007-2008, and again in 2010-2011, to conduct program reviews of the 18 Independent Living Programs in Oregon.

Evaluation of Enhanced Kinship Navigator in Ohio
(2009-2012)HSRI is conducting an evaluation of the Enhanced Kinship Navigator Project, a demonstration project involving seven county agencies (six public child welfare agencies and one Office on Aging) and led by the Public Children Services Association of Ohio.

(2008)Through a contract with the Governor's office of Oregon, HSRI completed an in-depth analysis for the addictions prevention, treatment and recovery services system, with a focus on understanding how much the state of Oregon and units of local government invest, and which services are most beneficial.

Evaluation of Collaboration in the National Child Traumatic Stress Network
(2003-2004)As a subcontractor to and partner with Abt Associates, HSRI is evaluating collaboration among researchers and providers in the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN). The NCTSN is a nationwide collaborative network of organizations involved in research in areas pertaining to child traumatic stress and/or in the assessment, treatment, and support of children and their families affected by traumatic stress.
