    This initiative was a collaborative effort with the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, families and individuals with developmental disabilities, developmental disabilities organizations and other stakeholders to develop a strategic plan for a system of supports so that individuals with developmental disabilities can live self-directed lives in the community.

    Route to Success - Systems Change

    In these tight financial times, it’s more important than ever that Developmental Disabilities Councils across the country make the most effective use of their limited resources. HSRI has developed a systems change model, along with a set of tools for implementation, that Councils may use to foster systems change work and add value to their existing projects.

    Mental Health/Jail Diversion Resource Allocation and Planning Model
    (2002-2003)

    This project was funded by SAMHSA to develop a computerized budget simulation and resource allocation model for projecting the costs and potential cost offsets of implementing jail or prison diversion programs for offenders with mental illness. HSRI worked with SAMHSA to develop the jail diversion model and apply it to data from multi-site project.
