Estamos triste de anunciar que hemos cerrado el Centro Familiar Juntos Podemos, en Salem, Oregon.
El Centro se enfocaba en niños con discapacidades y sus familias y especialmente en familias Latinas. Desde su comienzo en el 2005 el Centro dio apoyos a cientos de familias en el area, buscando conectarlos con otras familias y utilizando los apoyos de una variedad de organizaciones comunitarias.
El Centro fue originalmente fundado con un subsidio federal, pero el subsidio terminó hace dos años, fue mas y mas dificil sobrevivir hasta que finalmente decidimos cerrar el centro.
Les agradecemos a todos en el area de Salem quienes contribuyeron y participaron en el Centro. También tenemos la esperanza que el Estado eventualmente decida invertir en familias en maneras que permita a centros como Juntos Podemos crecer.

We sadly announce that we have closed the Juntos Podemos-Together We Can Family Center in Salem, Oregon.
The Center focused on children with developmental disabilities and their families and especially so on Latino families. Since its start in 2005 the Center provided supports to hundreds of families in the area, seeking to connect them with one another and utilizing supports from a variety of community organizations.
The Center was originally funded with a federal grant, but the grant ended two years ago it became increasingly difficult to make ends meet until finally we decided to close the Center.
We thank everyone in the Salem area who contributed to and participated in the Center. We are also hopeful that the State will eventually decide to invest in families in ways that will allow centers like Juntos Podemos to thrive.
